Chinese New Year

After all the recent parties, Christmas, New Year, my birthday 🙂 I didn’t think there was anything left to celebrate, because I’m in Australia I almost forgot about Chinese New Year, this isn’t like the Australian New Year, this is a two week party, I knew I had to get some of this action

What, a two week party, lets go!

Time to have a serious talk to Dad, come on Dad, we can’t sit here watching TV, we need to get out and party

But we couldn’t go straight away, I had to have dinner first, maybe I could finish quickly somehow

I knew I was going to be partying hard and it has been really hot lately, I think I better keep my fluids up so I don’t overheat

Let me just knock this one back and then we can go

I couldn’t wait to party but there was still work to be done, I had to help Mum make dumplings so everyone could enjoy the party

Yeah Mum will roll them, you fill them please

Finally though we did get to enjoy the party, so did lots of other people

I sure get to party a lot, there can’t possibly anything more to do for a while now, although you just never know what I might get up to next 😉

lots of firsts

Ok, so I haven’t been around that long but even so I’m still finding there are lots of firsts, I’ve already had my first Christmas so I know what that’s all about now but this past month has been busy with even more firsts.

I had my first New Years Eve, they tell me it’s a great big party, what they didn’t tell me though was it happens at midnight so I slept straight through it, I need some daytime firsts!

Before long there was something else to celebrate, that’s right, my first birthday 🙂

I was still in the party mood and before you know it another first, my first Australia day, it turns out everyone has a party on Australia day and I love to party 😉

I was thinking there couldn’t possibly be any more firsts but before you know it Mum took me by surprise, I got my first haircut, what do you think, does it make me look older?

Christmas cheer

December is a busy time, it’s Christmas time and Christmas cheer is just the beginning, there’s also lots to do when it’s Christmas time

Christmas, call my agent and arrange everything

Turns out I had to help get things arranged or there wasn’t going to be much of a Christmas at all

Time to get things in order, Mum was making a crazy mess, I don’t know what she was up to

Mum! What are you doing, we need to clean up!

I don’t know what was going on with Mum, I had to get Dad in on the action to help me clean up

You missed a bit over here Dad!

I got the house cleaned up ok but I needed to get clean too

I need to get out now, hurry up!

I got myself cleaned up all right, now I just needed to choose something to wear

I got the place looking good, I got myself tidied up but I realised that I hadn’t let Christmas man know what gifts I wanted, I mean how would he know what to bring if I didn’t tell him, but how was I going to let him know, maybe I can tell Dad and he can let him know

Yeah, and I want a bike, and a ball and a ...

I was getting worried though, Dad’s always busy, how would I know if he would pass on my wish list, I guess I needed a backup plan 😉

I think I had that pretty well covered and I was really getting into the Christmas spirit

I thought I had things all sorted but still no sign of Christmas man or any gifts, I mean they tell me that’s what it’s all about, what to do, maybe I just couldn’t see far enough and needed to get up higher, I know…….

Turns out it was a plane that I had seen, didn’t matter as it all worked out in the end anyway

For me, wohoo!

Christmas was fine but boy was it tiring, lucky we only do it once each year or I think I’d be too worn out to enjoy all my gifts 🙂

Hey, it’s my birthday soon, maybe I can get enough energy to play with some more gifts by then 😉

What a month

What a month I’ve had, we all got on the plane and headed back to China for a bit of a working holiday, well work for Mum and Dad and a holiday for me anyway 🙂

I had a chance to catch up with some of my friends and go drinking

I got to see the sights like never before

I drove up to the mountains

I'll steer Mum, you do the brakes

Once we got up to the mountain it was just a leisurely stroll up to the top

We don't seem to be going that fast Dad!

But I also took some time out to relax and unwind after working so hard

Think I'll just relax here a while longer

I also took some time out to visit Hong Kong, I’ve been before but there’s always something new to see, I got to check out the amenities and have a bit of fun 😉

Hong Kong is great, but there’s too many stairs, where’s the elevator when you need one

Even though there’s lot’s of stairs it was still worth it, I ate out in some nice restaurants

Ok, I think I'll have the duck, followed by the.....

I was so busy all the time it seemed like I hardly had a moment to myself

Everything was going great, I was having a wonderful time, until they told me it was time to pack our bags and go back home that is

What do you mean it's time to go?

I could hardly believe a month had gone already, I still had lots to see and do, I was real upset, until I found out Mum said we could come back again real soon, I can’t wait 🙂

They’re keeping me busy

They’re keeping me busy since I got to Australia that’s for sure, I never seem to stop, there’s always something happening it seems, here I am at school

Homework, I don't have time for it!

I thought it was a bit early to be going to school but Mum says I still have plenty of learning to do, Mum still finds time for us to do other stuff too so it’s not all bad, after school we went into the city to have a look around, looks kind of familiar to me 🙂

We also take some time to visit our friends, here I am with my friends Sarah and Tim and their dog Polly, she’s a real good dog too, I want one just like her, can I mum, can I?

One things for sure, all this action sure makes me tired, I’m finding hard trying to keep up

I'll just rest my eyes for a bit

I just never know what’s going to happen, whatever happens I’m sure I’ll be busy, I better get some more sleep so I have enough energy for whatever Mum comes up with next 🙂

Mum arranged a big party

Well what a day today was, Mum arranged a big party with lots of my friends because I’m turning 100 days old, actually we snuck the party in two days early, I’m only 98 days old but some people say I look older so I know I could pass for 100 days easy 🙂

I’ll be going on a big holiday to Australia soon so as well as a party for me it was a good chance for me to see lots of my friends altogether at the same time before I go, a win win situation I say

Just a few more laps Mum!

Now I’ve been living it up this week, everyone knows that already, 5 star treatment all the way but when I came home I was missing all that luxury, so what to do?

I told Dad that I want a big house with a swimming pool so I can have all the mod cons everyday, not just when we’re on holidays, I warned him I would get used to it 😉

Some of my friends heard about how I wanted all this luxury so they thought why should I wait, they brought me my very own swimming pool I could enjoy already!

I was swimming up and down and having a great old time, Dad, why didn’t you tell me about this before?

I love my new swimming pool but where is everyone else going to fit, there’s only enough room for me, Dad, you’re still going to have to get me a new house with a big pool, don’t think you’re getting off that easy 😉

Can I stay in a bit longer Mum?

I love my new gift, it’s lots of fun, but now I want a big pool even more, Dad, Dad!

Party time!

What a great weekend, Mum and Dad have been good all week so I thought I might let them take me out of the house for a while, I decided to take them to Shekou because I knew my friend William would be there and it was his birthday, he was going to have a party.

We looked around and enjoyed seeing all the the different sights but I knew it would be party time soon enough

My friend William has just turned 1 year old and he had a party, lots of people came to the party and he got lots of nice gifts too

The party was really good and Mum and Dad had a good time too, William got lost of nice presents, I hope it’s my birthday soon so I can get lots of nice gifts!

Too much cake I think

I had a great day and Mum and Dad had a good time too but at the end of the day I was really tired, I slept all the way home, I didn’t tell Dad but I was dreaming about my next birthday and all the gifts I want, I hope I can have a good party like that one 🙂

Out and about

Things are going great now, I’m out and about more than ever, I get to go new places all the time, last night I went out to dinner with some of my friends

I thought I was going to have a great time, everyone said the food was really good and it was a nice place but I was asleep the entire time, how much fun is that for me?

Let me think about it Dad

You know dad if you’re going to take me out with all my friends and you’re just going to let me sleep the whole time then I’m not sure if I’ll let you go next time, I’m really going to have to think about it you know, maybe I’ll let you take me to the toy shop instead, I think I can stay awake then 😉

Mum, Dad said we could go to the toy shop, I think he wants to buy me some new toys, Mum, Mum!!

Even Dad was surprised!

Now I’m starting to see a pattern here, just about every day I have some friends come over to say hello, nothing new about that, it’s almost becoming a routine now so I’m never really surprised when I see someone new or even when some of my old friends drop over so I really wasn’t expecting this weekend to be any different.

Dad had to go away for the weekend for work but I thought I could handle things here without him, sure enough my weekend was full of people dropping by to say hello

It's always nice to see my friends again

Now it’s always nice to see my friends again, but even when I think I’ve seen it all before they come up with something new, I have to say, I’ve had lots of nice gifts and I feel really spoilt already but this weekend I got one gift I never expected, a new chicken

Every kid needs a new chicken!

I was really surprised to get a new chicken, even Dad was surprised, really I think Dad’s a bit worried about going away now because he’s not sure what other gifts my friends might bring.

Can we keep him Dad, can we, can we?
