Chinese New Year

After all the recent parties, Christmas, New Year, my birthday 🙂 I didn’t think there was anything left to celebrate, because I’m in Australia I almost forgot about Chinese New Year, this isn’t like the Australian New Year, this is a two week party, I knew I had to get some of this action

What, a two week party, lets go!

Time to have a serious talk to Dad, come on Dad, we can’t sit here watching TV, we need to get out and party

But we couldn’t go straight away, I had to have dinner first, maybe I could finish quickly somehow

I knew I was going to be partying hard and it has been really hot lately, I think I better keep my fluids up so I don’t overheat

Let me just knock this one back and then we can go

I couldn’t wait to party but there was still work to be done, I had to help Mum make dumplings so everyone could enjoy the party

Yeah Mum will roll them, you fill them please

Finally though we did get to enjoy the party, so did lots of other people

I sure get to party a lot, there can’t possibly anything more to do for a while now, although you just never know what I might get up to next 😉

Frequent flyer points

I think it’s about time I enrolled for frequent flyer points, no sooner had I arrived back in Australia from China and I was getting the itch to travel again, I think it’s all the leg room in those seats that make it so comfortable to travel, whatever it is I just had to do it, time to get on the phone and make a reservation I think

Tickets out of the way it was time to pack my bag, I was just taking Mum and Dad down to Melbourne for a few days so I knew I could travel light 🙂

Ok, I'm packed and ready to go

I had a bit of a look around Melbourne, not sure I like it though, I think it was summer, winter, autumn and spring, all on the same day, what a crazy place, even the animals didn’t know what to make of it

Maybe we should come back at feeding time

At first I thought the weather was so crazy that all the animals had frozen, it turns out we were at the museum instead of the zoo, no wonder they weren’t moving 🙂

Melbourne was good but I think we need to fly somewhere else again real soon, maybe somewhere where they only have one season each day then hey Dad!

What a month

What a month I’ve had, we all got on the plane and headed back to China for a bit of a working holiday, well work for Mum and Dad and a holiday for me anyway 🙂

I had a chance to catch up with some of my friends and go drinking

I got to see the sights like never before

I drove up to the mountains

Once we got up to the mountain it was just a leisurely stroll up to the top

We don't seem to be going that fast Dad!

But I also took some time out to relax and unwind after working so hard

Think I'll just relax here a while longer

I also took some time out to visit Hong Kong, I’ve been before but there’s always something new to see, I got to check out the amenities and have a bit of fun 😉

Hong Kong is great, but there’s too many stairs, where’s the elevator when you need one

Even though there’s lot’s of stairs it was still worth it, I ate out in some nice restaurants

Ok, I think I'll have the duck, followed by the.....

I was so busy all the time it seemed like I hardly had a moment to myself

Everything was going great, I was having a wonderful time, until they told me it was time to pack our bags and go back home that is

What do you mean it's time to go?

I could hardly believe a month had gone already, I still had lots to see and do, I was real upset, until I found out Mum said we could come back again real soon, I can’t wait 🙂

Back to where it all began

Some people think I’ve been in hiding, I mean just because I haven’t updated my website in a while doesn’t mean I’m not around you know, I still add new photos regularly so make sure you check those out too 🙂

I’m not in hiding, don’t let the crazy hat fool you 😉 I’ve just been busy, that’s all, I’m learning to walk so that keeps me busy, but where have I been, well have I got a story for you 🙂

I was asking Dad one of those difficult questions, you know the one, “where did I come from?” I’ve been so busy I actually forgot, I came from China, time for a refresher course I think, how about it Mum, what do you say?

Wow that was quick!

No sooner had I asked the question than Mum had plane tickets and we were ready to go, wow Mum, you sure got that sorted out quick smart 🙂

I have no idea why people complain about the leg room

So off we go, back to where it all began, China, my home town, it’s a big place, I think I might need some wheels so I can get around and see some things, what do you say Dad?

Winter time?

They keep telling me it’s winter time but I’m really not sure they are telling me the truth, I mean if it is winter time it isn’t too cold, in fact it was warm enough for us to go boating!

What a great day we had out on the water, if this is winter time though how good is summer going to be?

It was great being out on the boat but things weren’t going fast enough for me, I think it’s about time I had a go at driving the boat, how about it Dad, can I have a go?

Lots to do

I’ve been spending lots of time checking out my new home, seeing what’s around, there’s not that many people here you know but there’s still lots to do anyway, I like to visit the lake near my house and see what’s happening there

Sometimes I see new people at the lake but most times I just see lots of birds, there sure are a lot of them here

Sometimes I see people walking with their dogs too, today I got a surprise when I saw this big dog I hadn’t seen before, I thought it was a bear!

Whoa, can I go for a ride?

He was the biggest dog I’ve ever seen and he’s still a puppy, how big is he going to get I wonder 🙂

They’re keeping me busy

They’re keeping me busy since I got to Australia that’s for sure, I never seem to stop, there’s always something happening it seems, here I am at school

Homework, I don't have time for it!

I thought it was a bit early to be going to school but Mum says I still have plenty of learning to do, Mum still finds time for us to do other stuff too so it’s not all bad, after school we went into the city to have a look around, looks kind of familiar to me 🙂

We also take some time to visit our friends, here I am with my friends Sarah and Tim and their dog Polly, she’s a real good dog too, I want one just like her, can I mum, can I?

One things for sure, all this action sure makes me tired, I’m finding hard trying to keep up

I'll just rest my eyes for a bit

I just never know what’s going to happen, whatever happens I’m sure I’ll be busy, I better get some more sleep so I have enough energy for whatever Mum comes up with next 🙂

There’s no place like home

I’ve got friends and family in lots of places, some are in different countries even, I’ve got lots of family in Australia, I’ve even got cousins in Japan, maybe they’ll visit me soon!

Lots of people know about me but they still haven’t met me yet, I hope they will soon, maybe I can tell them all sorts of stuff so they get to know me better.

It’s a big building but I just live on the 4th floor with my Mum and Dad

Even though we live in the city you never know what you might see, last week I saw 50 sheep drive past my window

I'm counting the sheep 2, 3, 4, 5....

Dad says if you count sheep that it makes you go to sleep, but I just couldn’t believe my eyes!

Dad, you’re crazy, sheep don’t make you sleep, they sure did surprise me though, it might be a crazy place sometimes but there’s no place like home 🙂
